Volleyball and fun with Gepidae! |

Will you be studying in Tilburg the coming college year, or are you already a Tilburg University student and looking for a volleyball association? You’re very welcome to join Gepidae in the recreational competition on Tuesday or the regional competition on Saturdays. Practice evenings are always on Thursday. No matter which level you play, there’s always a place for you with Gepidae.
So do you feel like joining a practice, to have a look at what playing volleyball with Gepidae is like? Then subscribe for the open practice on Thursday September 2 at the Sports Centre of Tilburg University, Academielaan 5. This free open practice does not oblige you to anything, but it just offers you the opportunity to find out whether you want to join Gepidae.

The training is divided in two groups: The first group (beginners) will play from 18.45 until 19.45 hours. The second group (advanced players) will play from 20.15 until 21.30 hours.

Saturday September 11 the WUP takes place, finally! The WUP-tournament is a tournament which gives all the Gepidae teams in the regional competition a first chance to play with the new teams before the season really kicks off. There are still a few spots in the tournament left. Matches are played in groups of the following levels:
- Ladies: 3rd division/”promotion”class (full)
- Ladies: 1st class/2nd class (room for 1 more team)
- Ladies: 2nd class/3rd class (room for 1 more team)
- Men: 1st class/2nd class (room for 1 more team)
The tournament starts at 12.00 and lasts until around 5 p.m. Each team will play against two opponents a match of 3 sets.
The subscription fee is €15,- per team. To close the day, each team has the opportunity to have a simple dinner with us. Additional costs are €2,50 per individual.

Introduction-Week |

The Introduction week was a great success! All new students had a wonderful time with Fast-Smashing and water volleyball. Plus, the (beer) prices of Brandpunt (our sponsor café) were very much appreciated.
A not unimportant message: the pictures of the mentor groups of the introduction week are online. So take a look at the Photo Album!
Finally we would like to thank all the volunteers for their help with the organisation of this week. Without you the week wouldn’t have been the success it was! All in all it was the perfect start of the volleyball season 2010-2011. |

Hoewel de trainingen al starten op 9 september, organiseren het bestuur en het kandidaatsbestuur op woensdagavond 22 september een openingsborrel in Café Brandpunt. Kom gezellig iets drinken met je teamgenoten en andere Gepidaërs. Er zal gezorgd worden voor een welkomstdrankje. Verder is er geen speciale dresscode en andere verplichtingen zijn er ook niet; het wordt gewoon een leuke avond. |

Heb jij goede ideeën voor Gepidae en denk jij dat dit de vereniging beter maakt, laat dit vooral aan ons weten. We hebben vanaf nu op de website een ideeënbox staan, waar je een vraag (klacht, idee, etc) kunt deponeren. Dit kan met naam en e-mailadres, zodat we hier ook persoonlijk op kunnen reageren, maar dit kan ook anoniem. Dus schroom je niet en laat jouw ideeën weten! |
